Two common years, then a department of your own.
A four-year studio degree. Everyone begins with drawing, colour and the history of art; from the third year you work in one of three departments and build the body of work you will leave with.
Painting
Oil, acrylic and water colour. Life study, landscape and composition, carried through to a final body of work.
Applied Art
Design that has a job to do — lettering, illustration, layout and print.
Sculpture
Clay, plaster and carving. Working in the round, from the model and from the imagination.
Art is taught as a craft, not a hobby.
Taught by working artists
Not by people who stopped making work. Every teacher here still paints, sculpts or designs, and the studio runs the way a studio runs.
Drawing before everything
The first years are spent on the hand — line, form, light, the figure. Style comes later, and it comes on its own.
You leave with a body of work
Not a certificate alone. Four years of finished work, shown in exhibitions, is what an employer or an academy actually asks to see.

Admission is open.
Apply online in one sitting — your photograph, an identity proof, the Class 12 certificate and result, and the application fee. You will be called for an interview and a drawing test. Admission to the school is taken directly at the office.
